Atmosphere
The restaurant sits in an excellent quiet section of the city. Like most German restaurants, there was an option to sit indoors or outdoors. We chose to get our dose of vitamin D since the weather was great. The wait staff was friendly, and the food service was prompt.
Menu
You can view their various menus on the homepage of the restaurant and click either the Mittagskarte (lunch menu), Wochenkarte (weekend menu), or Speiskarte (main menu) buttons on the right. Essentially, you will find primarily Swabian and Bavarian dishes with many good choices.
Food and Drinks
For our meal, we ordered Haxenpfanne and Krautschupfnudeln. The Haxenpfanne consisted of crispy pork knuckle, pan-fried potatoes, herbs, and a medium egg. The Krautschupfnudeln mixed German-style pasta with sour kraut and bacon. We ordered the house-brewed Humpen (darker) and Radlerkrügle (lighter beer) for drinks. A Radler is a beer mixed with sprite.
Overall, the food was plentiful and delicious. The beers had a smooth taste and fit nicely with our meals. We recommend you try this restaurant out if you are near Ulm and if you do, leave a comment on what you ordered.
